Privacy Policy

We only collect what we need to run the shop:

• Order details — your full name, email address, phone number, delivery address and city, the items you ordered and the amounts paid.
• Newsletter and enquiry details — the name, email address and phone number you submit through our newsletter or contact form, plus the message you write to us.
• Account details — if you sign in to a Fragrance Elixir account, your email address and an encrypted password record.
• Payment information — we never see or store your card number, CVV or bank PIN. Payments are processed by Flutterwave; we only receive a transaction reference and the status of the payment.
• Technical information — basic device, browser and page information generated automatically when you browse the site.

• To take payment for, confirm, pack and deliver your order.
• To contact you about your order, including delivery updates and problems with an item.
• To answer your enquiries and provide customer support over email, phone or WhatsApp.
• To send you marketing emails about new arrivals, restocks and offers — only if you asked us to, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
• To detect and prevent fraudulent orders and chargebacks, and to keep accounting records required by Nigerian law.

We process your data to perform our contract with you (fulfilling orders), to comply with legal obligations (tax and record-keeping), on the basis of your consent (marketing emails and non-essential cookies), and for our legitimate interests in preventing fraud and improving the shop.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers we need to operate:

• Flutterwave — payment processing and fraud checks.
• Our hosting and database provider — orders, enquiries and newsletter records are stored securely in a managed Supabase (Postgres) database with restricted, role-based access.
• Our email provider — order confirmations and notification emails.
• Courier and logistics partners — the name, phone number and address needed to deliver your parcel.
• Regulators, banks or law enforcement — where we are legally required to disclose information.

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage entries. Some are strictly necessary — they keep your cart contents and your sign-in session working as you move between pages. Others help us understand which pages and products are popular so we can improve the shop.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, the cart and checkout will not work properly.

Order and payment records are kept for at least six years to satisfy Nigerian tax and accounting requirements. Enquiries are kept for up to two years. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to our database is restricted by row-level security policies and administrator accounts protected by passwords. Card data never touches our servers. No system is perfect, so if we ever become aware of a breach affecting your data we will notify you and the relevant authorities without undue delay.

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us to give you a copy of the data we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, delete data we no longer need, stop sending you marketing, or restrict how we use your information. Email us and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Our shop is intended for customers aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

If we update this policy we will change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, tell subscribers by email.
